Great as a dip for chips or as a spread on crackers.
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbls. fresh thyme or chopped basil
Soften the cream cheese in a medium bowl. Add Swiss cheese, almonds, mayonnaise, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Stir to blend.
Spread mixture into a baking pan, such as a loaf pan. Heat uncovered for about 15 minutes in a 350-degree oven.
Put into a serving dish, garnish with fresh thyme or chopped fresh basil and serve.
Note: This is best served when freshly made, as the texture is altered if refrigerated.
